The Lawrence University Presidential Search Committee, comprised of 15 representatives from the Board of Trustees, faculty, student body, and alumni, held its first organizational meeting Monday, April 2, with representatives from the search consultant firm, Isaacson, Miller.

Jane Gruenebaum and Jackie Mildner of Isaacson, Miller, met with faculty, students, staff and members of the Appleton community April 9-10 to gather face-to-face input.

Additional input has been solicited by phone and e-mail from other members of the Lawrence community.

In addition, the search consultant firm received more than 350 responses to the recent Presidential Search survey.

The information will be used to craft a comprehensive presidential position description that addresses the future vision for, and needs of, the university.

A final position description will be presented to the Board of Trustees in May, after which it will be openly posted to begin the process of connecting with potential candidates. The search committee’s goal is to announce a new president to the Lawrence community in January 2013.

Periodic updates on the search committee’s progress will be provided on this page as details warrant.
