As you make your travel plans, you may want to be prepared for wintry weather.

Bring warm clothes! A heavy coat, gloves, scarves, hats, all are a must, especially for walking from the hotel to the school. Please do be prepared for frigid weather.

The Radisson is about 5 blocks away walking distance from Lawrence University and has a complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport. Other hotels are also available near the airport and around College Avenue but these would require a car for transportation.

Travel to/from Lawrence University

Shuttle service: We are providing a courtesy shuttle service from 8:30-10 a.m., 11:30-1:00 p.m. and 10:00-11:00 p.m. Shuttles will be limited in the morning and afternoon and will run in a loop from the Conservatory to the Radisson and back.

Flight: The Outagamie County Airport (ATW) is a 15 min. drive from Lawrence and is a small but very convenient airport. Other airports include the Green Bay airport (GRB), which is 40 min. driving,  and the Milwaukee airport (MKE), which is 2 hours driving.

Taxi fare from the airport to the campus is approximately $20. Fox Valley Cab is a reliable taxi service, among others.

Car rental companies at the airport include Avis, Hertz, National, and Budget.

Car: From north or south of Appleton, take Hwy. 41 to the College Avenue exit and proceed east four miles through downtown Appleton to the campus. Those traveling from the west on Hwy. 10 will connect with the Hwy. 441 bypass. Take the Oneida Street exit and proceed north to College Avenue. Take College Avenue east through downtown Appleton. The Conservatory is at 420 E. College Avenue, Appleton, WI.

Parking at Lawrence University
There is free street parking available on E. Washington Street, N. Park Ave. or E. Franklin St., between N. Drew Street and N. Meade Street.

Most of the Lawrence lots are reserved for faculty/staff during the day, but the south side of the Chapel lot, designated areas in the Wilson House lot, and the spaces on the north side of Brokaw are also reserved for visitor parking. There are also nearby city ramp parking for $2/day.
