I spent some time looking around for weather proof cases for the tablets. The best I could find so far are neoprene ones with a clear plastic window that you can write through. The glare on the plastic combined with the non-outdoor viewable screens make this system less than ideal. You can see them at www.thepouch.com/

I called Meg Stewart (Vassar College) to discuss how they've used the mobile tablets in their geology courses.
