Greetings!
This is going to be weird, as it is my final check in post of this school year. As I have said many times before, time flies at Lawrence. Next year is my final year as a student here at Lawrence University. Even though it is unfortunate that this time has seemed to fly by so quick, there is so much to be excited for in the near future!
Next year will be my first time ever having more than one roommate, in addition to being my first time living with another roommate at all since my freshman year. This is excited because it will be with 3 of my best buddies on campus, two of which I am in a hip-hop group with. The other roommate is someone who I attend varsity soccer with (I am the student manager and he is a current player on their roster). Even though the housing selection process is stressful for most students here, we were able to get through ours pretty easily and obtained the largest quad on the campus. I’m pretty darn excited! The room will be apartment style, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The reason we got such a good room is because we had all upperclassman in our group, 3 of which are going to be seniors. Setting up our room together will be a fun process!
In addition to how great senior will be, I am excited to be attending another school for mortuary sciences post graduation of LU. It will be in New York City (my home), and I will not have to worry about paying for room and board, as I will be able to live in my own apartment. This is what I have dreamed of doing for so long, and I will finally get to do so!
Still, with graduation approaching, it will be difficult to see all of the amazing current seniors who I love, walk across that stage for their diplomas. I cannot express how proud I am of those who I know very well, and know what they have had to deal with in order to get to that stage. So I applaud them and am excited to accomplish what they have a year from this month!
I am going leave this post with just some pictures of my last few weeks here and wish you all a wonderful summer! Catch you in a few months!
