Agape of Appleton
The mission of Agape of Appleton, Inc. is to provide quality residential support services for individuals in a variety of community settings.
Its philosophy is that all people are viewed as unique individuals and treated with dignity and respect, always being conscious of their legal, treatment and personal rights.
Supports are person-centered and provided in environments that promote individual choice while maintaining individual health and safety. Training and assistance is provided to enhance individual ability to reach and/or maintain maximum potentials.
Appleton Area School District
The Appleton Area School District, nestled in the heart of the Fox Cities, stands as the sixth largest school district in Wisconsin, catering to over 15,000 students across its varied institutions, including fifteen elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, fifteen Charter schools, and magnet school.
It has been committed to delivering exceptional education while consistently improving its methods to meet the ever-evolving educational needs of its students. The district’s focus is to help all students acquire the essential skills and knowledge they need to excel in their chosen career paths.

ADI’s mission is to make Downtown Appleton a vibrant and accessible destination for business, learning, living and leisure.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children. It develops positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
It partners with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and holds itself accountable for each child in its program achieving:
- Higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships
- Avoidance of risky behaviors
- Education Success
Boys and Girls Club Appleton
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Four key characteristics define the essence of a Boys & Girls Club. All are critical in exerting positive impact on the life of a child:
- Dedicated Youth Facility: The Boys & Girls Club is a place – an actual neighborhood-based building – designed solely for youth programs and activities.
- Open Daily: The Club is open every day, after school, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets.
- Professional Staff: Every Club has full and part-time, trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
- Available/Affordable to All Youth: Membership dues are affordable. Clubs reach out to kids who may lack access to other community programs.
Building for Kids
Building for Kids is a non-profit, play-based children’s museum with diverse hands-on exhibits for kids ages 7 & under. Its mission is to inspire discovery and build resilience through intergenerational play-based learning and exploration of the arts, sciences, and humanities.
Casa Hispana
Casa Hispana is a non-profit organization with a mission to advocate for and empower our Hispanic/Latinx community through advancing awareness, education, and celebration of our diverse cultures to ensure current and future generations thrive in the Fox Valley.
COTS
COTS, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization helping individuals experiencing homelessness in the Fox Cities. COTS provides transitional shelter to individuals in Outagamie, Winnebago, Green Lake, and Calumet counties. We treat all people with dignity and respect. Our goal is to end homelessness by enabling individuals to transition to self-sufficiency and stable, independent living.
Edison Elementary School
Edison Elementary School takes pride in its history, diversity, and record of academic achievement. Located near downtown Appleton and Lawrence University, Edison provides outstanding programming to meet the needs of its students. Edison School is a family of educators, students, parents, and community members. We cherish our diversity, promote a safe environment, develop contributing citizens, and inspire self-motivated lifelong learners.
Feeding America
Since 1982, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has been helping its neighbors in need. From its humble beginnings of a first donation of 600 pounds of apples to distributing more than 53 million pounds of food in a year during the pandemic, its helping those who face hunger move forward. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is an independent and local nonprofit organization. It funds local programs only, meaning every dollar donated stays right here in the local community. But as a member of the national network of 200 Feeding America food banks, it has access to donated product and additional resources that make it a stronger, more effective food bank.
Fox Valley Literacy Council
Fox Valley Literacy provides classes and tutoring for adult learners in the areas of: English, General Ed, Civics & Citizenship, & Individual Projects. Free to all students, it relies on the support of volunteers and donors to bring accessible education to the community.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit that partners with its communities’ hardworking families who may struggle to access safe and affordable housing while covering all of life’s expenses. Its housing solutions include new home and rehab construction and the improvement of homes in need of critical repairs. With the collaboration of skilled volunteers and the sweat equity of the homebuyer; decent, affordable homes would be built to elevate entire families from poverty and improve communities.
Harbor House
Harbor House is a shelter that serves victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Outagamie and Calumet Counties. The mission of Harbor House is to serve all people impacted by domestic and sexual violence, lead the shift in perception of violence, and advocate for lasting social change. Available to shelter residents as well as non-residents, its free programming and services help individuals live a fulfilling life. All of its staff are highly trained in domestic abuse client advocacy and diversity awareness, with formal educational backgrounds in social work, human services, and education.
Heckrodt Wetland Reserve
Located in Menasha, WI, Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is a 91-acre non-profit urban nature reserve with habitats including forested wetland, cattail marsh, open water, created prairie, open field, and upland forest. Persisting despite the urbanization that continues to grow around it, the Reserve is home to numerous species of reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Migrating songbirds and waterfowl nest and feed in its protection.
The mission of Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is to enhance, restore, and preserve the Reserve and educate all people on the importance of conserving natural resources while promoting the Reserve’s many recreational opportunities.
Kairos Alive
Kairos Alive is a community-based arts and arts education organization that believes all are welcome in the community circle. Its intergenerational, intercultural performances – which it brings to schools, nursing homes, museums, parks, community centers and formal performance spaces – deliver a vision of what community can be: all ages, all backgrounds, all abilities — dancing together.
League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters is a peoples’ organization that has fought since 1920 to improve government and engage all Americans in the decisions that impact their lives. It operates at national, state and local levels through more than 800 state and local Leagues, in all 50 states as well as in DC, the Virgin Islands and Hong Kong.
The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League is guided by two foundational policies, in both principle and in practice: the League is nonpartisan, and fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Loaves and Fishes
Loaves & Fishes of the Fox Valley, Inc. is a food assistance program that serves fellow community members who experience homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity. Its focus is serving meals that meet the nutritional requirements to promote health and well-being in adults and children. It is committed to serving free nutritious evening meals to anyone in need, in a safe and welcoming environment.
NAMI Fox Valley
NAMI Fox Valley is a local affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Serving Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca and northern Winnebago counties in Wisconsin, NAMI Fox Valley works tirelessly to raise awareness and to provide essential support, education, and outreach programs for people living with mental illness, their loved ones, and the community at large. Through the efforts of its dedicated staff and volunteers, it offers a wide variety of mental health programs that touch over 10,000 participants each year.
NE WI Land Trust
Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust is a non-profit, member-supported organization. It is northeast Wisconsin’s only regional land trust, and works in 12 counties to preserve the region’s lands, waters, and wildlife. Since its founding in 1996, it has preserved more than 6,000 acres of natural land, including forests, wetlands, and miles of shoreline.
Pillars
Pillars is an organization that provides shelter, support, and solutions to address the housing needs in the community through its many programs including street outreach, adult shelters, adult and family shelters, resource centers, and more.
Prevent Suicide
Prevent Suicide Fox Cities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers whose mission is to decrease suicide and its toll on survivors. It emphasizes the importance of:
- Ending the stigma of mental health through education and awareness.
- Promoting mental well-being.
- Providing QPR Gatekeeper Training free to the community.
- Offering support after suicide (SAS) loss groups for the universal community and siblings.
- Acting as a resource to those seeking suicide prevention information and support.
Rawhide Youth Services
Rawhide Youth Services is a faith-based 501(c)(3) recognized charity that aims to equip at-risk-youth and their families to lead healthy and responsible lives through family-centered care, treatment, and education.
REACH Counseling Services
Reach Counseling is a sexual assault service provider for children and adults that offers culturally responsive outreach, prevention education, victim advocacy, trauma counseling, and sex offender treatment. As an anti-violence agency, it strives to heal lives and transform communities.
Rebuilding Together Fox Valley
Rebuilding Together Fox Valley is a non-profit organization that assists low-income homeowners with safe and healthy repairs and modifications. Through its work it is also positioned to address the long-term recovery of communities struck by natural disasters. At its core, Rebuilding Together Fox Valley emphasizes neighbors helping neighbors.
Riverview Gardens
Riverview Gardens is a non-profit organization with a mission to build dignity through job training and employment. It seeks to engage the entire community in addressing the root causes of unemployment, poverty and homelessness through hard work, creativity, and human dignity.
Ruby’s Pantry (FELC)
Ruby’s Pantry is a faith-based non-profit organization that distributes food at Pop-Up Pantry locations. There is no income or residency requirement. For a 25$ cash bundle donation participants receive an abundance of groceries.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is an international movement that works to provide food, shelter, clothing, and financial assistance to those in need.
Saving Paws
Saving Paws Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c3) non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue that’s run by dedicated volunteers. It believes that every animal deserves a chance at finding their forever home.
St. Joseph Food Program
St. Joseph Food Program fights hunger and sustains hope in the Fox Valley Community. Its volunteers serve hundred of households each week through its distribution windows, as well as providing weekly food to its alliance pantries and non-profit agencies.

Through its extensive network of primary and specialty care providers, its here to provide all patients within the community the level of expertise they deserve.
World Relief Fox Valley
World Relief Fox Valley supports refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they rebuild their lives in the United States. In the last 12 years, its welcomed over 1,500 immigrants and refugees into the Fox Valley region. Its offices in Appleton and Oshkosh offer refugee resettlement services, extended case management, immigration legal services, employment services and English education classes.
YMCA
The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit social services organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through group exercise classes, youth programs, and more.
