All-Staff Meeting – Feb 16

An all-staff meeting is planned for Wednesday, February 16, from 9-10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom.

Accepting Applications for Off-Campus Programs

Off-Campus Programs is currently accepting applications for 2022-2023 off-campus study. If you are interested in study abroad or participating in a domestic off-campus program, you need to apply by February 1, 2022.

Please note, London Centre applications are due March 1, 2022.

Donuts for D-Term – Dec 15

In light of our recent change in operational status to orange light, Staff Governance is switching its Donuts for D-Term Celebration to a grab-and-go event.

Faculty and staff are still welcome to stop by the Mead Witter Room in Warch on December 15, from 9-10 a.m., but donuts will be offered as a grab-and-go treat.

If you plan to stop by for a donut, please let us know you are coming by filling out the D-Term Celebration form by December 10. We hope to see you there!

Off-Campus Programs Winter Break Hours

Interested in learning more about an off-campus program or have a question about an application you have already started? The Off-Campus Programs office can help! We will be open during winter break through December 17 and available to meet with you via Zoom both by appointment and during regularly scheduled Tuesday and Thursday office hours. Donuts for D-Term – Celebration!

“Do-Nut” miss this fun opportunity! Staff Governance will be hosting an informal D-Term Celebration for staff and faculty on December 15, from 9-10 a.m. in the Mead Witter Room at Warch. Stop by with your favorite beverage and indulge in a donut or two. Stay and socialize or grab your treat and run. The choice is yours!

To ensure we have enough sweet treats for everyone, if you plan to attend please let us know by filling out the D-Term Celebration form by December 10. We hope to see you there!

Study Music in Milan – Info Session

Join Off-Campus Programs for a virtual information session featuring Roberto Andreoni, Ph.D., Center Director and Music Coordinator for IES Abroad Milan, on Monday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. Email OffCampusPrograms@lawrence.edu for Zoom details.

The IES Milan – Music: Voice, Composition, and Instrumental program offers an opportunity to create your own program, combining musical instruction, beginning and intermediate language study, area-studies courses taught in English, as well as internship possibilities.

International Education Week Starts Monday

Next week, we are celebrating International Education Week. Look for special programming, Instagram takeovers and Q&As, fun international-themed menu items, and more!

Have a question now about a program or application? The Off-Campus Programs office has walk-in office hours Monday-Thursday, as well as peer advising two evenings per week. Off-Campus Programs Fair Oct. 4-8

The Off-Campus Programs Fair is next week! Join us October 4-8 for five days filled with informative programming, including live tabling events, in-person information sessions, and virtual Zoom sessions.

Our general Study Abroad 101 on Tuesday evening will feature a student panel discussing study abroad during Covid. Additional programs will cover topics such as language learning abroad, studying music abroad, and the application process and funding.

Program spotlights will include our new Arts and Social Change in the Czech Republic, SEA Semester, Costa Rica, Madagascar, Greece, and more!

Additionally, we will welcome several program providers to campus to talk about their offerings, including IES, with programs in Europe, Asia, South America, and New Zealand; ISA, with programs in Italy, Spain, and Argentina; Japan Study, and College Year in Athens.
