Mindfulness in Nature Retreat

Spirit Space and Wellness Services are collaborating to host a retreat during mid-term reading period. This full-day retreat will take you to the shores of Lake Michigan where you will be led through meditation, movement and reflection sessions and also have solo time to spend in nature.

The retreat is on Thursday, May 4. Transportation and food will be provided. Contact della.haanen@lawrence.edu with any questions or to reserve your spot!

Are you looking for connection, a place to reflect, or a space to breathe?⁠ 
⁠ 
Consider joining the EXPLORE sophoMORE (ExSo) program for Winter and Spring Terms. This program is meant to help guide Sophomores through transitions and changes in the second year of college. You’ll form a tight-knit community of folks to walk alongside as you all gain insights in traversing the challenges and big questions that accompany a college experience as well as life after Lawrence. ⁠ 
⁠ 
There will be 10 weekly gatherings on Mondays from 4:45-6:30pm throughout Winter and Spring Term. All gatherings will include free meals catered from various off-campus restaurants (your input welcomed)! ⁠

PLUS Events for First Years

The Program for Leadership of Underrepresented Students (PLUS) is hosting events in January for first-year students interested in attending. Consider joining us to learn more about resources for students on Lawrence University’s campus. Any questions can be directed to Della Haanen, the PLUS Advisor.

January 18th PLUS and Career Center

7-8 pm in the Diversity and Intercultural Center

Jacklyn will be joining us from the Career Center to hold a resume-building workshop. Get information on how to put together or continue building your resume. This event is in preparation for our Mock Interview event but is open to all first-year students.

January 25th Mock Interview Event

4:30-6:30 (Virtual)

This event requires sign-up. To sign-up for this event, send an email to della.haanen@lawrence.edu space is limited.

Practice your interview skills with the opportunity to receive feedback from professional staff and faculty of Lawrence University. Participants will go through a series of 4 interviews along with time for feedback from your interviewer. If you are interested in Mock Interviews, the Career Center’s resume-building event is strongly encouraged on January 18th. These events will build on each other.

If you are interested in joining PLUS, our applications are open through January 14th. To join fill out the application found here. Joining will allow you to meet students through social events and other opportunities hosted for the PLUS cohort.
