Learning at Lawrence Compliance, RSVP 1/9, 1/10, 1/11

You are now able to reserve your spot for the Learning at Lawrence – 2018 Annual Compliance Training.

Please note that your attendance is required for only one of the below dates:

Tuesday, January 9th  – 8:00 am – 12:30pm

Wednesday, January 10th  – 8:00am – 12:30pm

Thursday, January 11th  – 12:00pm – 4:30pm

Meditation – Last scheduled session of the term

Although the Meditation Room at Center for SRL and can be reserved or used for drop-in when there is a need for a quiet space, the last scheduled meditation with Connie Kassor will be on Wednesday, November 15th at 4:30pm.  Please look again for the scheduled meditation in the Winter term 2018 which will continue at the same time and day, 4:30pm on Wednesdays during weeks one through ten.

Students staff and faculty are welcome to visit the Center for SRL and the Meditation Room during break times.

Taizé – New Day

Taizé – New Day
The last Taizé service for the fall term has been changed to Wednesday,
November 15th.
The time and location remain the same.  7:30pm at the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life.

This ecumenical service of prayer, silence, song and chant is a great way to lead yourself into the final weeks before break.  Taizé and the partnership with All Saints Episcopal Church will return again in the Winter term.  Stay posted to the LU Spirit Space Facebook Page and the Office of SRL webpage for dates and times.

Faculty/Staff Pride Upcoming Events

Nov. 17 Queer Thanksgiving      3-5p.m.   Diversity Center
Queer Thanksgiving is an event which gives LGBTQ students who may not be able to be their true selves at home a chance to celebrate the holiday with the LU community. If you are interested in donating food and/or materials, please fill out this Google doc.

Nov. 20 Trans Day of Remembrance   5-9 p.m.   Memorial Hall 105
The Annual Trans Day of Remembrance hosted by Lawrence University includes a talk, a candlelight vigil, reading of the names of those who have been killed by transphobic violence, and an informal closing conversation. After a conversation in Memorial 105, we will go to the Main Hall south steps for the reading of the names and vigil.
