Fulbright info session

Thursday, April 4 | 9-10 a.m.
Warch 401 – Arthur Vining Davis Room

Faculty are cordially invited to a brief session about Fulbright. Come and be inspired by colleagues Tim Troy (Theatre) and Cayla Rosché (Conservatory) who recently had Fulbright experiences in Ireland and Iceland respectively. Hear about the amazing work and international network their Fulbright enabled. We’ll also show you how to explore different Fulbright opportunities on the website and leave time for questions and conversation.

If you are thinking of applying for this September’s deadline, spring and summer is a great time to start. Even if your sabbatical isn’t for a while yet, come, get encouraged and informed. If you can’t make it to the session, feel free to set up a meeting with one of us to explore further.

Meet the Grants Team Open House

Thursday, October 5 | 10 a.m.-Noon
Sampson House

The Department of Corporate, Foundation, and Sponsored Research Support (the grants team) is pleased to invite you to work with us on your proposal ideas for external grant funding. Reminders: Working with Us

Please note that all grant applications where Lawrence is the fiscal agent must be approved via the grants team prior to submission. We request a minimum of 30 days’ notice in advance of the proposal deadline and at least 60 days’ notice for government proposals. Please reach out to us as soon as you start thinking about a grant application. We are eager to hear about your proposal ideas and set up a time to meet!

Grants Open House | Thursday, October 5

Come meet the grants team and enjoy light refreshments and pastries on Thursday, October 5 from 10 a.m.-Noon on the first floor of Sampson House. We would be delighted to meet you, help you put faces to names, and hear about your ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

Philanthropy Engagement Center is Hiring!

PEC students represent Lawrence in increasing engagement with alumni, stewarding gifts to the university, raising funds for the university/Lawrence Fund, and help facilitate student philanthropy events on campus.  PEC students reach out to alumni to update contact information, share Lawrence news, build relationships, and solicit gifts.  PEC students act as advocates to assist in creating a culture of philanthropy and gratitude in the Lawrence community.  This is an excellent resume building position on campus that offers networking opportunities, flexible hours, and monetary bonuses.  Apply on Handshake!

United Way Campaign Deadline December 1

Dear Staff and Faculty,

I am following up to Linda Peeters’ message from two weeks ago about the United Way campaign. We greatly appreciate any support you may be able to give, but also understand if you are not in a position to do so this year.

If you can, I invite you to join Linda and me in supporting United Way. If you didn’t give last year and give $26 this year ($1/per paycheck) you will be entered into a drawing for a Chevy Trailblazer! Donors who gave last year need to increase their total gift by $1 to qualify. Gifts of all sizes are welcome!

Please email me with the amount you would like to donate per payroll by Dec. 1. New pledges will begin Dec. 11 and run for 26 payrolls. You may also campus mail a check made out to United Way to me in Wilson House.

Thank you for considering this opportunity as a way to support our community; and thank you to those who have already pledged!
