Campus Visit Coordinator – Welcome Chyna Witzke

The admissions office is pleased to announce that Chyna Witzke will join our team as the Campus Visit Coordinator beginning on Wednesday, August 29.

Chyna is an Appleton native and attended the University of Ottawa where she majored in anthropology and dabbled in art history.  She also rowed on the crew team in college.  Her professional experience included stints with Ritz Carlton (well known for their excellent customer experience), building the family meal program at Ronald McDonald House and coordinating volunteers for a non-profit organization that provided hundreds of staff members on game days at Lambeau Field. We are excited about the direction of the Visit Experience Team as we strive to provide an excellent experience for all who walk through the doors of Chapman Hall.

Many of your will work closely with Chyna as she coordinates our individual visit to campus.  Please help us welcoming her to the Lawrence family!

Employee Handbook Available 8/27

Thank you everyone for your feedback on the revised Employee Handbook. Starting August 27th, the final version of the Handbook will be available. During that time the acknowledgement process will also begin.

The acknowledgement process will be conducted through Voyager to ensure everyone has the opportunity to review the revised Handbook. With the new process there will be a bypass option allowing you to ignore the acknowledgement form and continue to have access to Voyager.

The bypass option will only be available for a limited time before you will be required to acknowledge the handbook in order to access Voyager. We encourage all staff and faculty to utilize this time to review the Handbook and become familiar with the revisions. More information about the bypass option to come.

You may have heard about the fabulous Lawrence University Makerspace located in the heart of the Mudd Library, but you may not know how it can support the work you do here at Lawrence. At this coffeehouse, we’ll briefly share the ever-expanding collection of cool technologies and tools available in the makerspace, then look at specific examples of how this equipment is used in higher education from a wide range of disciplines.
