The President’s Award of Excellence (PAE) recognizes exemplary University staff members for their exceptional support and performance for their Department and the University.  For more information, please visit the President’s Award of Excellence webpage.

How to submit  a nomination:

Complete the Nomination Form describing how the nominee demonstrates the above listed criteria, not to exceed three typed pages, by December 1, 2017.  When completed with the nomination form, you will need to select “file”, “save as” and save to desktop or personal folder.  The form can be submitted via one of the following methods:

Healthy Holiday Challenge

Don’t forget to weigh in for the yearly challenge that helps keep us accountable during the holiday season. Weigh in Wednesday before 2pm at the wellness center. Prizes include a fit bit, massages, hydroflasks and more. The winning team will maintain their collective weight closest to their pre-holiday weigh in.  Weigh back in the week of January 8th.

Griff’s Grill Winter Edition

We are breaking out the winter gear in preparation for the winter edition of Griff’s Grill. We are featuring Jacobs’ hot dogs and brats, a special “winter” brat and of course veggie options.  Join us Wednesday, November 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch (seating is available inside).

Mail Services – Next Week 11/18-22

Office mail pick-up and delivery will take place in the following manner next week due to the holiday and campus closure.

  • Monday – regular mail routine
  • Tuesday – regular mail routine
  • Wednesday – morning mail only, window will be open until 3pm
  • Thursday – campus closed
  • Friday – campus closed

LAL Compliance Training – January 2018

Reminder, the annual Learning at Lawrence Compliance half-day training sessions will be held on January 9, 10 and 11 in the Warch Campus Center.

Please  reserve your spot for the 2018 Annual Compliance Training by December 22, 2017.  Your attendance to ONE of the sessions below is required.

  • Tuesday, January 9th  – 8:00 am – 12:30pm
  • Wednesday, January 10th  – 8:00am – 12:30pm
  • Thursday, January 11th  – 12:00pm – 4:30pm

The topics that will be covered include:

  • Title IX
  • Employee & Student Privacy
  • Information Technology Security
  • Emergency Preparedness & Workplace Safety
  • Family Medical Leave (FML) and Leave of Absence (LOA) Guidelines
  • Americans with Disability ACT (ADA)
  • Worker’s Compensation

Benefit Open Enrollment – Due 11/20

The deadline to submit any benefit open enrollment add, drop or changes are due to HR by Monday, November 20, 2017 at 4:00 pm.

If you do not want to make changes to your current benefit elections, you do not need to submit open enrollment forms, with the exception of flexible spending. The flexible spending enrollment form must be completed if you want to participate in health and/or dependent care flexible spending in the 2018 plan year/calendar year.
