Vikings roll to shutout victory over Marian

APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University men’s tennis team rolled to a 9-0 nonconference victory Tuesday over Marian University at Fox Cities Racquet Club.

The Vikings got off to a great start and dropped only two games in the three doubles matches. David Jumes and Bill Schuman-Kline posted an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Lawrence (6-6) swept through the singles matches and posted a trio of 6-0, 6-0 victories. Jumes didn’t drop a game at No. 1 singles, and Connor Maloney at No. 3 and Kieran Laursen at No. 5 were also perfect.

Marian dropped to 2-2 on the season.
