APPLETON, Wis. — Lawrence University standout JP Ranumas was named the Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week after his performance at the Lawrence Invitational.
Ranumas (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier), a sophomore, won one event and placed third in two more. Ranumas grabbed first in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.83 seconds and also took third in the 100 meters in 11.60 seconds.
Competing in the collegiate long jump for the first time, Ranumas took third with a leap of 19 feet, 11.75 inches. He also ran on both of Lawrence’s relay teams.
Ranumas leads his team into the Midwest Conference Championships this weekend at Grinnell College.
