ORLANDO, Fla. — The Hamline University men’s tennis team swept the doubles action and used that to post a 6-3 nonconference win over Lawrence University on Saturday.
Hamline (6-5) won three tight doubles matches and won the Nos. 4-6 singles contests.
Lawrence (5-4) took the top three singles matches as No. 1 player David Jumes posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Brian DeCoret split the first two sets at No. 2 but took the super-tiebreaker 10-8 and the match. Bill Schuman-Kline rolled to a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 3.
