Sixteenth-ranked Warhawks top Lawrence

MADISON, Wis. — The No. 16 UW-Whitewater volleyball team downed Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match Saturday at Edgewood College.

The Warhawks (10-2) 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.

Arianna Nuemeyer picked up 10 kills for the Vikings (1-13), and Lauren Ray and Sydney Nelson combined for 15 assists.

Katie Kumbalek led Lawrence with 14 digs, and Ray added 10.

No. 24 UW-Oshkosh tops Lawrence

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The No. 24 UW-Oshkosh volleyball team topped Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match on Wednesday  at UW-Stevens Point.

The Titans won 25-12, 25-9, 25-15.

Shay Sullivan and Katelyn Malcheski had nine kills apiece to pace Oshkosh (12-3).

Arianna Neumeyer had five kills and Rachael Wuensch added four for the Vikings (1-12). Lauren Ray had seven assists and Sydney Nelson added six for Lawrence.

Fifth-ranked Pointers stop Lawrence

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point volleyball team downed Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match Wednesday at Berg Gymnasium.

The Pointers won 25-5, 25-11, 25-12.

Gabby Thomas led Stevens Point (9-0) with just seven kills as the Pointers’ balanced attack produced a .390 hitting percentage in the match.

Rachael Wuensch paced Lawrence (1-11) with four kills. Lauren Ray had six assists, and Katie Kumbalek picked up nine digs.

Carleton stops Lawrence in straight sets

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Carleton College volleyball team topped Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match at the ACM Tournament at Macalester College.

Carleton won 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Cyra Bammer, Arianna Neumeyer and Megan Conley had five kills apiece to lead the Vikings (1-10). Bammer also had a team-high 16 digs, and Lauren Ray led the team with 11 assists.

Vikings edged by Macalester in five sets

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a five-set decision at Macalester College in the ACM Tournament on Sunday.

The Scots pulled out the victory by the scores of 22-25, 25-12, 25-14, 27-29, 16-14.

Brooke Hunter had 17 kills, and Cora Trout picked up 20 digs for the Scots (9-1).

Three players, Arianna Cohen, Arianna Neumeyer and Rachael Wuensch, had 10 kills apiece for the Vikings (1-9). Lauren Ray led Lawrence with 22 assists and 18 digs.

St. Olaf takes down Vikings in straight sets

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The St. Olaf College volleyball team downed Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match on Saturday at the ACM Tournament at Macalester College.

The Oles won by the scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Arianna Cohen paced Lawrence with six kills, and Megan Conley and Rachael Wuensch had four apiece. Sydney Nelson led the Vikings with 14 kills, and Cyra Bammer picked up 16 digs.

Norse topples Lawrence

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Luther College volleyball team topped Lawrence University 3-1 in a nonconference match on Saturday at the ACM Tournament at Macalester College.

The Norse won 25-18, 25-9, 21-25, 25-12.

Cyra Bammer had nine kills and Rachael Wuensch added seven for the Vikings. Lauren Ray picked up 14 assists and Sydney Nelson added 13 for Lawrence. Katie Kumbalek piled up 13 digs for the Vikings.

Sabres top Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. — The Marian University volleyball team topped Lawrence University 3-1 in a nonconference match on Wednesday at Alexander Gymnasium.

The Sabres won 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Jessica Roberts had 17 kills, and Amber Baker picked up 31 assists and 13 digs for Marian (1-5).

Rachael Wuensch led Lawrence (1-6) with 11 kills and Arianna Neumeyer added 10. Lauren Ray had 24 assists for the Vikings, and Sydney Nelson picked up 16. Both Cyra Bammer and Katie Kumbalek had 20 digs for Lawrence.

Liz Arco was very effective for the Vikings as she picked up seven kills and just 10 attacks.

Neumeyer powers Vikings past Fontbonne

ELMHURST, Ill. — Arianna Neumeyer led all players with 22 kills to power the Lawrence University volleyball team to a 3-1 nonconference victory over Fontbonne University on Saturday at the Elmhurst Invitational.

The Vikings won 25-21, 25-23, 14-25, 28-26.

In addition to the match-high 22 kills, Neumeyer picked up 10 digs. Rachael Wuensch added nine kills for the Vikings, and Claire Vinopal and Megan Conley had six kills apiece.

Lauren Ray led Lawrence (1-5) with 28 assists, and Sydney Nelson added 20 assists. Katie Kumbalek had 20 digs, and Cyra Bammer added 15.

North Park stops Vikings in straight sets

ELMHURST, Ill. — The North Park University volleyball team topped Lawrence University 3-0 in a nonconference match on Saturday at the Elmhurst Invitational.

North Park won 25-7, 25-12, 25-13.

Lauren Wiltsie picked up 11 kills and 13 digs and Emily Farwell had 10 kills for North Park.

Rachael Wuensch picked up four kills and Arianna Neumeyer had three for Lawrence.
