Spring Break is over and it’s back to school!
I had a pretty busy and exciting Spring break though! First, I went to a Psychology Conference in Austin, Texas. I was there to present some research that I had done over the summer with one of my Professors. I got to see a bunch of really interesting Symposiums as well as enjoy warm Texas! Being cooped up in Wisconsin for all of winter, being able to walk around with a skirt and no jacket was really nice! The conference was a great experience and I’m glad that I was able to go.
After the conference, I went back to my house (about 45 minutes away from Appleton). It was warm by Wisconsin standards, but cold by Texas standards! However it was even colder for me, because I forgot my winter jacket in Appleton! Since I had been travelling to Texas, I figured I didn’t need my winter jacket. It was Spring break, certainly Wisconsin knew that and would warm up! Oh, how wrong I was.
After spending some time at home, my roommate (who also lives in Wisconsin) and I went up to my cottage in northern Wisconsin. And when I say northern, I mean northern. We stayed for three days and two nights and cooked a bunch of delicious food! It started raining on the second day and then quickly turned in to snow! And they weren’t just little flakes, they were huge flakes. It started piling up, and soon we had at least 7 inches!
The next morning, we went out on a walk. The snow was still sticking to the trees and it was sunny and so beautiful!
After our lovely weekend up north, we headed back to school! It’s April 14th, and we just got 1.5 inches of snow last night. I guess this winter just wants to hold on! There were a few warm days, so hopefully spring decides to make another, permanent appearance soon!
