VENICE, Fla. — The Lawrence University swim teams split their dual meet Tuesday with Urbana University at the Fun in the Sun Classic.
The Lawrence women topped Urbana 71-41, and the Blue Knights downed the Lawrence men 62.33-38.67.
Leading the way for the Lawrence women were event winners Danielle Millin and Emmi Zheng. Millin grabbed first in the 50-yard backstroke in 30.58 seconds, and Zheng was the top finisher in the 50 breaststroke in 33.33 seconds.
The women’s 200 medley relay team of Millin, Zheng, Paige Witter and Eryn Blagg also took first in 1:59.09.
On the men’s side, the top finishers for the Vikings were Travis Charlow and Christian Bell, who finished in a three-way tie for first place with Urbana’s Phi Bryce in the 50 freestyle in 24.10 seconds.
