Lawrence University’s Peter Emery was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Freshman of the Week after his performance last weekend.
Emery (Goleta, Calif.), a rookie goaltender, was in net for both of Lawrence’s victories at Northland College last weekend.
Emery made 29 saves in Lawrence’s 3-0 victory last Friday to pick up his second shutout of the season. Emery followed that with 29 saves again on Saturday in the Vikings’ 3-2 win.
On the weekend, Emery posted a .967 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. Emery improved his season record to 7-7-2 with a 2.46 GAA and .921 save percentage.
