MADISON, Wis. — The Lawrence University women’s tennis team got its season off to a great start with a 7-2 nonconference victory at Edgewood College on Friday.
The Vikings took wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles and then won five of the six singles matches.
Christina Schaupp (No. 2), Gayatri Malhotra (No. 3), Hannah Geoffrey (No. 4), Ali Heiring (No. 5), and Polly Dalton (No. 6) all won in singles. Schaupp and Jenny Roesch won at No. 1 doubles, and Geoffrey and Heiring won at No. 2.
