APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University men’s tennis team won a pair of tight doubles matches and then rolled through the singles for an 8-1 nonconference victory over Knox College on Saturday at Fox Cities Racquet Club.
Craig Sherwood and Brian DeCorte rolled to an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles for Lawrence (8-6), and then the Vikings won tiebreakers at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles for a 3-0 heading into singles.
Lawrence then posted singles victories by Cooper Smith (No. 1), Jason Dunn (No. 2), Sherwood (No. 4), DeCorte (No. 5) and Jeremy Andereck (No. 6). Andereck pitched a shutout with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
