ORLANDO, Fla. — The Lawrence University women’s tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip to Florida with a 6-3 nonconference win over Nichols College on Friday.
Lawrence pulled out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play as Ali Heiring and Tess Vogel won at No. 2 and Brenna Decker and Allison Juda were victorious at No. 3.
The Vikings then won four of the six singles matches. Christina Schaupp (No. 1), Tess Vogel (No. 4), Melissa Heeren (No. 5) and Decker (No. 6) all picked up victories. Heeren didn’t drop a game en route to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kasie Chapin at No. 5, and Vogel was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Michelle Keklik at No. 4.
