Vikings roll to shutout win over Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. –  The Lawrence University women’s tennis team pounded Monmouth College 9-0 on Saturday in a nonconference match.

Lawrence (5-4) did not drop a set and lost a total of only 10 games in the nine matches.

The Vikings started the day by sweeping the three doubles matches, highlighted by the 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles by Elena Watson and Allison Juda.

The Vikings recorded a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles, with Melissa Heeren (No. 4) and Brenna Decker (No. 6) doing the honors.
