APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University women’s tennis team rolled to an 8-1 nonconference victory over UW-River Falls on Saturday at the Lawrence Courts.
Lawrence (7-5) swept the doubles matches and then took the top five singles matches.
The Vikings got the day started with three wins in doubles as Hannah Geoffrey and Ali Heiring won at No. 1, Polly Dalton and Gayatri Malhotra won at No. 2 and Katie Frankel and Allison Juda won at No. 3.
Malhotra (No. 1), Geoffrey (No. 2), Heiring (No. 3), Frankel (No. 4) and Dalton (No. 5) all won in singles. Frankel, a freshman playing her first collegiate singles match, picked her first career singles victory.
