GLENDALE, Wis. — The Concordia (Wis.) University men’s tennis team won a pair of super tiebreakers to down Lawrence University 5-4 in a nonconference match on Friday night.
Robert Spiering at No. 5 singles and Ryan Buffamonte at No. 6 both won third-set super tiebreakers to pull out the victory for the Falcons.
Jeremy Andereck was impressive at No. 2 singles for Lawrence with a 6-0, 6-3 victory, and David Jumes was just as good with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3. The Vikings also won at No. 3 where Mitch Kasprzyk won a third-set tiebreaker 7-5 to take the match.
Jumes and Kasprzyk also posted an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles.
