GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Lawrence University men’s tennis team edged St. Norbert College 5-4 on Tuesday in a Midwest Conference match at Western Racquet Club.
Lawrence (9-8, 3-1 MWC) took the lead early by winning two of the three doubles matches. Brian DeCorte and Adam Busch were 8-4 winners for the Vikings at No. 2, and Ethan Perushek and Ben Tomhave pulled out a 9-7 victory at No. 3.
The Vikings then split the six singles matches to pick up the victory. DeCorte notched his second win of the night with a win in straight sets at No. 3. The Vikings got a 6-3, 7-5 victory from David Jumes at No. 1, and freshman Izaya Turenne posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
