RIPON, Wis. — The Lawrence University swim teams split a dual meet at Ripon College on Saturday at the Storzer Center.
The Lawrence women topped Ripon 127-78, and the Red Hawks defeated the Lawrence men 123-58.
On the women’s side, Emei Thompson and Hayley Cardinal were both multiple winners for the Vikings. Thompson won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:38.64 and took the 1,000 freestyle in 11:42.63. Cardinal swam to victory in the 200 individual medley in 2:21.17 and won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.29.
The Lawrence women also won both of the relays, the 200 medley and 400 freestyle.
On the men’s side, Max Stahl was a winner for the Vikings as he took the top spot in the 200 IM in 2:17.24.
