Davies, Schrobilgen pace Vikings at Private College Championships

WAUKESHA, Wis. — The Lawrence University track teams grabbed three top-three finishes on Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Carroll University.

Cam Davies was the top finisher on the men’s side as he took second in the 1,500 meters in 4:07.04. Jacob Jodat of Wisconsin Lutheran won the event in 3:58.73.

Josh Janusiak took home third place in the 5,000 for the Vikings in 15:45.03, and teammate Jordan Atkins was eighth in 16:19.22. Max Stahl took fourth in the javelin with a throw of 146 feet, 6 inches, Wes Hetcher was sixth in the pole vault with a height of 11-11.75 and Dan Sandacz grabbed eighth in the 110 hurdles in 16.71 seconds.

The Lawrence men finished ninth in the team standings with 24.5 points.

On the women’s side, Erin Schrobilgen grabbed third in the 5,000 in 19:00.61, and teammate Clare Bruning was sixth in 19:16.51. Hayley Cardinal finished eighth in the 400 hurdles in 71.02 seconds, and the 4×400 relay team was sixth in 4:50.18.

The Lawrence women finished 11th with 14 points.
