JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — The Illinois College volleyball team defeated Lawrence University in straight sets Saturday in a Midwest Conference match at Sherman Gymnasium.
The Lady Blues (12-6, 2-0 MWC) stopped the Vikings 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.
Lisa Lowry led Illinois College with nine kills and she picked up 10 digs. Elizabeth Ganley paced the Lady Blues with 34 assists, and Cheyanne Jockisch and Brenna Garland had 14 digs apiece.
Arianna Neumeyer led Lawrence (5-12, 0-2) with eight kills, and Arianna Cohen added seven. Sydney Nelson had a team-best 16 assists for the Vikings, and Katie Kumbalek picked up 16 digs.
Lawrence was plagued by too many errors on the attack with 28 kills against 22 errors for a .052 hitting percentage. Illinois College hit .259 for the match.
