CLERMONT, Fla. — The Millikin University softball team pulled away late Saturday to post a 9-1 nonconference victory over Lawrence University.
Millikin collected just seven hits but took advantage of eight Lawrence errors.
Kailey Lyons and Marissa Padilla had two hits apiece, and Alyssa Voegele drove in three runs for Millikin (9-6). Gracie Brookens allowed four hits over five innings to pick up the victory.
Madeline MacLean allowed five earned runs and took the loss for Lawrence (0-3).
