The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Tuesday as the Vikings hosted the Lawrence Quadrangular at Alexander Gymnasium.
UW-Stevens Point stopped the Vikings 25-23, 25-15, 25-11 in the opening match. UW-Oshkosh then defeated Lawrence (4-3) 25-23, 25-15, 25-17 in the second match.
Against the Pointers, Shannon McLain had a team-high seven kills for the Vikings, and Terese Swords added five. Diane McLeod picked up 22 assists, and Kathleen Rowland picked up 20 digs.
In the match against UW-Oshkosh, McLain and Swords had eight kills apiece to pace the Vikings. McLeod handed out 18 assists, and Kate Rosenbalm and Rowland had 12 digs apiece.
In the other matches Tuesday night, St. Norbert College defeated UW-Oshkosh 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, and UW-Stevens Point downed St. Norbert 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24.
