APPLETON, Wis. — Lawrence University women’s soccer standout Dani Glass has been named the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Glass (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield), a senior goalkeeper, picked up the award after earning her third shutout of the season. Glass grabbed her third shutout of the season and earned a hard-fought tie in Lawrence’s other match of the week.
Glass made five saves in Lawrence’s 2-0 victory over Knox College on Sunday and stopped seven shots in a 2-2 double-overtime with Illinois College on Saturday. For the week, Glass recorded an .857 save percentage and 0.90 goals against average in earning the first conference Defensive Player of the Week award of her career.
On the season, Glass improved to an .828 save percentage and 1.53 GAA.
Lawrence returns to action on Wednesday when the Vikings take on Edgewood College in a nonconference match.
