Reading Period Already?

10325601_10202451787230356_2131993722157778400_nI can’t believe that this week marks the 6th in the term and that means Midterm Reading Period! This term it’s really crept up on me – I guess that just means I’ve been lucky enough to not be too bogged down in work and to enjoy my time doing other things. Like the Timber Rattler’s game I mentioned in my last post. The Timber Rattler’s are Wisconsin minor league team affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers, and their home feild is located in Appleton! As a senior class, we were given the opportunity to attend a game for free, and I love free things, so I jumped on the offer. Unfortunately, spring was elusive yet again and game day turned out to be overcast, windy and a bit on the cold side. But we managed to make the best of it: standing under heat lamps, picking out favorite players, winning merchandise and even taking a picture with the mascot.

And speaking of weather, this week finally brought sunshine and some warmer weather – perfect for jogging outside and grabbing one of the rare home track meets. Even more exciting? Only having to wear a light coat to my Senior Formal for Theta. And formal itself was such a great time! Probably tied for my favorite with the first Theta formal I attended my sophomore year. I danced with friends, took loads of pictures (some are in this post) and even won a scarily appropriateĀ senior superlativeĀ (Apparently, I’m “Most Likely to Die of Hunger” because I’m too busy chatting to eat a plate of food. I just really like talking to my friends I guess. But, can you blame me? They’re pretty awesome people).

I’ll wrap it up for now, but I’m sure I’ll have plenty to discuss in my next blog post after going to Madison for Reading Period and Greek Week events all next week!
