Stephen Exarhos scored 3:21 into overtime to lift the Lawrence University men’s soccer team to a 3-2 Midwest Conference victory over Illinois College on Sunday.
Exarhos took a pass from Karl Mayer, shook loose an Illinois College defender and blasted a rocket past goalkeeper Trevor Donahue to win it for the Vikings.
It was the second goal of the afternoon for Exarhos, who gave Lawrence a 2-0 lead with his header for a goal at the 15:19 mark. Joe Cullen picked up his first collegiate goal for Lawrence when he scored at 4:33.
Andrew Finley made seven saves to pick up the victory.
