ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Emily Muhs and Curran Carlile were the top Lawrence University cross country finishers at Saturday’s NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships.
Muhs finished 70th to pace the Lawrence women and covered the 6,000-meter course at Saukie Golf Course in 23:20. Lawrence finished with a team score of 787 and took 29th place among the 38 teams.
Carlile paced a tight group of Lawrence’s top three runners. Carlile finished 72nd and covered the 8,000-meter course in 25:34.6. David Zane was next for the Vikings in 75th in 25:37.6 and Sam Stevens was 76th in 25:38.1.
Paced by that trio of runners, Lawrence finished 16th among the 39 teams with 552 points.
