Lawrence University men’s soccer defender Colin Vize and forward Jared Padway were both chosen for the All-Wisconsin Team, and Vize also garnered All-North Region honors.
Vize (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Hyde School) was a third-team selection on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America all-region squad. Vize was one of only two Midwest Conference players to be honored.
Vize also was a second-team pick on the All-Wisconsin Team, and Padway (Fox Point, Wis./Nicolet) received honorable mention.
Vize, a two-time All-Midwest Conference selection, anchored a defense that allowed only 1.4 goals per game. He was a key component in helping the Vikings return to the Midwest Conference Tournament.
Padway, a first-team All-Midwest Conference selection, scored five goals and added five assists for 15 points. He tied for the team lead in points, tied for the team lead in assists and was second in goals.
Lawrence compiled a 9-7-2 record on the season and finished 6-3-0 in Midwest Conference play. The Vikings earned a berth in the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament and played conference champion Ripon to a 1-1 tie before losing on penalty kicks in the conference tournament semifinals.
