WAVERLY, Iowa — The Wartburg College men’s soccer team puled out a 2-1 nonconference victory over Lawrence University on Sunday.
Wartburg built a 2-0 lead when Lawrence’s Karl Mayer scored off a pass from Cameron Pieper in the 63rd minute. That was as close as the Vikings would get.
Cade Shatzer made six saves to pick up the win for Wartburg, which had a 16-14 edge in shots. Steve Solomon made eight saves for the Vikings.
