GALESBURG, Ill. — The Knox College men’s soccer team scored on a penalty kick to pull out a 1-0 Midwest Conference victory over Lawrence University on Sunday.
Max Gatyas scored on the penalty kick in the 41st minute for the only goal of the match.
Knox (9-1-0, 2-0-0 MWC) enjoyed a 13-5 edge in shots over Lawrence (3-4-1, 1-1-0).
Sean Dockrell made one save to pick up the win for the Prairie Fire. Joe Krivit made four saves for the Vikings.
