APPLETON, Wis. — The Cornell College women’s soccer team scored in the first minute and went on to a 3-0 Midwest Conference victory over Lawrence University on Sunday at Whiting Field West.
Kendra Wisely scored just 58 seconds into the match to give the Rams (8-8-1, 3-5-1 MWC) the lead for good. Cornell added a goal from Bethany Stivers in the 27th minute, and Wisely scored again in the 73rd minute to complete the scoring.
Zauditu Kaza-Amlak assisted on all three goals.
Dani Glass made 11 saves and took the loss for Lawrence (5-9-1, 3-5-1). Chelsea Harris stopped six shots to pick up the shutout.
