APPLETON, Wis. — It was Senior Day at Lawrence University on Sunday as the Vikings said farewell to seven men’s soccer players. The seniors made the most of the their final home game by scoring all three goals in a 3-0 Midwest Conference victory over Cornell College.
Erich Lohrmann scored twice and Cooper Sinai-Yunker got the other goal for the Vikings (7-9-1, 5-4-0 MWC).
Freshman goalkeeper Joe Krivit made one save to earn his fifth shutout of the season. Connor Hagen stopped 13 shots for Cornell, which had just one shot on goal.
Lohrmann got the scoring started at the 4:34 mark when he took a throw-in from Stephen Salansky and fired a shot past Hagen.
Lawrence made it 2-0 at the 10:21 mark as Lohrmann scored again. Michael Deremo took the ball into the box and his shot was deflected by Hagen. Lohrmann pounced on the rebound and stuffed it into the back of the net.
Sinai-Yunker scored his first career goal off a pass from Lohrmann at the 56:17 mark to complete the scoring.
