APPLETON, Wis. — Sofie Yang won a pair of events to lead the Lawrence University track teams at the Lawrence Invitational on Saturday at Whiting Field.
Yang won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.91 seconds and took first in the pole vault with a height of 9 feet, 5.75 inches. Yang also grabbed second in the 400 hurldes in 1:12.52.
The Vikings also won a pair of distance events and the 800. Clare Bruning was first in the 5,000 in 18:49.94, and Kelsey Miles won the 3,000 steeplechase in 13:34.56. Anna Bolgrien raced to victory in the 800 in 2:25.45.
On the men’s side, JP Ranumas took the top spot in the 110 hurdles in 15.83 seconds.
