Olsson earns all-conference honors; Vikings fourth at MWC Championships

ROCKFORD, Ill. — Anton Olsson earned all-conference honors, and the Lawrence University golf team placed fourth at the Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday.

Olsson carded a final-round 80 on the par-72 layout at Aldeen Golf Club to finish with a 54-hole total of 237. Olsson tied for sixth place, and the top-10 golfers make up the all-conference team.

Lawrence shot a final-round score of 333, its lowest score of the tournament, to finish in fourth place with a score of 1,005. Monmouth College won the team title with a score of 953.

Nigel Schuster was next for Lawrence, as he tied for 17th with a score of 252. Tyler Clark was 26th at 256 and Nathan Ley was 29th at 260. Rounding out the scores for Lawrence were Ryan Eardley at 281 (37th) and Dan Salzbrenner at 286 (39th).

Knox College’s James Fenner won the individual title with a score of 228.
