GREEN BAY, Wis. — The St. Norbert College baseball team swept a Midwest Conference doubleheader from Lawrence University on Saturday at Green Bay Southwest High School.
The Green Knights (18-14, 8-6 MWC) won the opener 15-3 and took the nightcap 9-3.
In the opener, Kevin Nutley went the distance and allowed eight hits over seven innings. He struck out six and walked two. Max Markoff lasted just over an inning and took the loss.
Jake Gordon and Joel Birch both had two hits for the Vikings (6-24, 3-10), and Troy Rottier went 2-for-2 and drove in four runs for St. Norbert.
In the second game, St. Norbert built an 8-1 lead after five innings and went on to the win. Jake McMahon allowed four hits over seven innings to pick up the win. He struck out six and walked two. Craig Batchelor pitched the first two innings and took the loss.
Sam Kossow and Gabe Warshaw both had two hits for Lawrence, and Brandon Klar drove in a pair of runs. Travis Mason had two hits and Derek Klegin drove in three runs for St. Norbert.
