APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University women’s soccer team battled to a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Illinois College on Saturday in a Midwest Conference match at Whiting Field West.
Lawrence (2-5-2, 0-1-2 MWC) scored a pair of first-half goals, and Illinois College (6-3-1, 0-1-1) scored the game-tying goal in the 67th minute.
The Vikings got on the board when Keli Muchowski scored off a pass from Ryan Berkley at the 10:47 mark. The Lady Blues tied the match on Ashely Sholmire’s goal at 18:40.
Lawrence grabbed the lead back on Liza Girsova’s goal at 32:43. Sarah Zaccarine picked up an assist on Girsova’s goal. Illinois College tied the game on Bianca Savarese’s goal at 66:42.
Dani Glass picked up seven saves for the Vikings, and Cat Solberg stopped three shots for Illinois College.
