APPLETON, Wis. — The Illinois College men’s soccer team scored with less than four minutes left to grab a 1-0 Midwest Conference win over Lawrence University on Saturday at Whiting Field West.
A scramble in front of the net off a cross resulted in the game’s only goal at the 86:20 mark. Alex Gardner’s cross got past Lawrence goalkeeper Joe Krivit, and Jordan Blair was able to squeeze the ball into the net during a scramble in front of the goal.
Krivit made six saves, and Scott Workman wasn’t forced to make a save in recording the shutout.
