APPLETON, Wis. — Dagoberto Diaz scored 1:52 into overtime to lift the Concordia (Wis.) University men’s soccer team to a 2-1 nonconference victory over Lawrence University on Tuesday night at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
The Falcons (7-2-1) got a great shot less than a minute into the overtime, but Lawrence goalkeeper Joe Krivit made the save on Keegan VanDusseldorp’s attempt.
Diaz got free about a minute later and fired it past Krivit to pull out the win.
Concordia took a 1-0 lead with just 35 seconds left in the first half on Jeremy Jenich’s unassisted goal.
Lawrence (1-7-1) tied it at the 57:29 mark when Robert Desotelle’s shot trickled past Concordia goalkeeper Killian Mielotz. Max Loebl and Keanan Wilson picked up assists for the Vikings.
Krivit made eight saves for the Vikings, and Mielotz had one save for Concordia.
