RIPON, Wis. — The St. Mary’s University volleyball team won a tight first set and finished off Lawrence University in four sets Saturday at the Red Hawk Invitational.
St. Mary’s won 25-22, 25-15, 26-28, 25-12.
Rookie Rachel Barthel paced Lawrence (4-8) with 16 kills, and Lauren Ray piled up 24 assists and nine digs for the Vikings. Barthel also had a team-high 11 digs.
Liz Arco put together a nice match for the Vikings as she picked up 10 kills against just one error in 20 attacks for a great .450 hitting percentage. Sydney Nelson chipped in with 15 assists for Lawrence.
