MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Lawrence University men’s tennis team opened its season Sunday with a 7-2 nonconference victory over MSOE at the Elite Sports Club River Glen.
The Vikings led 2-1 after the doubles and then rolled by taking five of the six singles matches.
Izaya Turenne and David Brooker were 8-6 winners at No. 2 doubles and the rookie team of Cade Francour and Connor Maloney posted an easy 8-2 victory at No. 3.
The Vikings won the top two singles matches as David Jumes took the No. 1 match in straight sets and Bill Schuman-Kline won at No. 2 by taking the supertiebreaker 10-3.
Francour at No. 4, Aidan Delgado at No. 5 and Brooker at No. 5 all won in straight sets.
