APPLETON, Wis. — The University of Dubuque scored four second-half goals to pick up a 4-0 nonconference victory over Lawrence University on Saturday at Whiting Field West.
The teams battled through a scoreless first half, but Dubuque (2-0-0) finally got on the board with Melanie Prudhomme’s goal in the 61st minute.
The Spartans then put the game away with three goals in the final 12 minutes. Prudhomme scored again at 78:56 to put Dubuque up 2-0. The Spartans then scored with 7:07 remaining and two seconds left.
Tiffany Duncan made four saves to pick up the shutout. Dani Glass stopped 14 shots for Lawrence (0-2-0).
