10:30–11:45 a.m. This is Lawrence—Students of 2011

A Lawrence education continues to prepare students for an ever-changing world. From Posse to athletics, join Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Nancy Truesdell to hear a diverse group of students talk about their experiences at Lawrence.

Noon Lunch

Warch Campus Center, Andrew Commons
Enjoy a fall-themed lunch with students and participate in roundtable career discussions. Selected tables will be marked with a variety of career fields for those who are interested in talking with students.

1–2:15 p.m. This is Lawrence—Senior Experience
Main Hall, Room 201

A bookend to Freshman Studies, Senior Experience is the next step in the evolution of Lawrence’s liberal arts curriculum. Senior Experience engages Lawrence seniors in an academic project that demonstrates proficiency in their major field of study, the integration of knowledge and skills gained during their years at Lawrence and development of
scholarly or artistic independence. Hear from a variety of students, alumni and faculty involved with ongoing and recently completed Senior Experience projects.

This session will celebrate faculty excellence at Lawrence by sharing examples of how Lawrence faculty members are not only accomplished scholars and artists, but also talented teachers. The Lawrence Fellows Program will be highlighted as a new initiative that is enhancing the curriculum.
