The Grinnell College women’s soccer team scored a goal with less than five minutes remaining and pulled out a 3-2 victory over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference game on Saturday at Whiting Field West.
Kirsten Louthan scored her first goal of the season at the 85:26 mark to break a 2-2 tie.
Lawrence had battled back from a pair of one-goal deficits. The Pioneers scored early, but Lawrence countered with Cadence Peckham’s first goal of the season at the 17:10 mark to tie the game at 1-1.
Grinnell got a goal just nine minutes later, but Lawrence tied it at 2-2 on Jennifer Angeli’s first collegiate goal in the 52nd minute.recap
